PARIS, DECEMBER 7, 2016: (DGW) INFORMATION available to DailyGlobeWatch say that ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has never wholeheartedly or openly supported Buhari being the president of Nigeria when he stood in 2015 to contest the office of the president, a source close to the former Nigerian leader disclosed to our reporter in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Obasanjo, our source disclosed , said he did not want to make any mistake by plunging the lives of over 180 million Nigerians into risk at the time but had to reluctantly look on when he was presented by the APC leaders.
Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano state, according to Obasanjo, would have done miles better than Buhari who he suggested at the time.
He said his tacit support for the ruling All Progressive Congress and Buhari when he was consulted in the build-up to 2015 federal elections should not be mistaken for open support adding that he has always had reservations about Buhari's capability to lead the country.
Obasanjo was quoted as saying that, ''Buhari's inability to perform did not come to me as a surprise, I told the people that presented him and my reservations about him which informed my interest and desire not to openly support him are eventually playing out today on every front''
