Chief Uwazuruike urged Biafra youths to go on with their agitation for secession, The Biafra group claimed President Buhari is under pressure to declare an independent state.
Chief Ralph Uwazuruike who is the leader of the Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is afraid of Biafra as the international community is pressurising him to declare an independent state.
The Sun reports that the Biafra leader insisted that the agitation for an indepdnent state will still continue peacefully despite the deployment of military personnel and weapon to the South east region for Operation Python Dance.
In a statement issued by Mazi Chris Mocha who is the director of information of the group, it said it would be unwise for anyone to think the issue of Biafra would disappear.
He said the issue of Biafra was being discussed in the United Nations which was making the president jittery.

“Buhari is under international pressure to let Biafra go and he has no option.”
Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has also concluded plans to hold a seminar for Biafra youths.

It said the seminar will take place in January 25 so as to sensitise Biafra youths on the project for Biafra.
“We do not deserve Biafra if it will not be better than Nigeria. Biafra youths will be given training on what has been perceived to be the stumbling block to Biafra freedom.

The group insisted the Niger Delta region was part of Biafra and criticised those describing them as a violent groups.
