PARIS, NOVEMBER 5, 2016: (DGW) REPORTS reaching our news desk say the Nigeria's governing party, the All Progressives Congress , (APC) has formally taken a punitive measure against one of Tinubu's strong advocates, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary , Comrade Timi Frank in the ongoing crisis which is rocking the party.
Frank was suspended from the party by the South-South Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which also further recommended that he be totally expelled from the party - a measure which will in no small measure spite the National Leader of the ruling party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary, an advocate of Tinubu in the ongoing face-off between the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie Oyegun has severely criticized the latter by taking sides with the National Leader of the party resulting from the outcome of Ondo APC gubernatorial primaries.
The announcement suspending Frank was made on Friday at the party's national secretariat , Abuja by the National Vice-Chairman, South-South, Ntufam Hilliard who informed journalists that he has suspended from the party in line with article 1 (d) and (f) of the party’s constitution.
The statement reads, “In furtherance of satisfying the provision of the constitution of the APC, I had to call for this emergency meeting of the zone and after very exhausting deliberation, the zone has arrived at the confirmation of the disciplinary committee’s report that one, Mr Timi Frank be suspended from the party forthwith in line with article 1 (d) and (f), having been accepted by this house, Mr Timi Frank hereby stands suspended by this party.
“Number two, this zonal committee shall recommend to the National Executive Committee for the expulsion of Timi Frank from this party in line with Article 21 D H (2 and 3) of our constitution.
“This is the resolution of the South South Zonal Executive Committee,” Hilliard said
