Aggrieved staff of the Environmental Protection Agency in Kaduna state took to the streets on Wednesday, September 7, in protest over nonpayment of their salaries.
The workers were said to have grounded business activities in the Barnawa area of the state as they blocked the road with refuse, causing a major gridlock for both pedestrians and motorists, Leadership reports.
The protest was staged by the workers to air their grievances over nonpayment of their salaries by the state government. The workers called on the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to pay attention to their plight.
This is coming few hours after Governor El- Rufai attended the Edo state All Progressives Congress rally on Tuesday, September 6, to show support for the party’s governorship candidate, Godwin Obaseki, in Saturday’s election. See more photos below…..
