Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has described the rumours purporting his death during a recent economic trip overseas as political opposition taken too far.
Governor Okorocha who made the assertion recently during a chat with journalists and top media executives in the state condemned the rumour which went viral on print and social media as wicked and mere fabrications that never by any means reflected the practical reality.
Continuing, the governor disclosed that he was never sick and did not at anytime visit any hospital abroad, noting that the comments he made about Late Sam Mbakwe and Evan Enwerem were only jokes which should not be misunderstood or misinterpreted to mean that he died and came back to life.
Okorocha who revealed that he has more investments in Imo than any other politician in the state assured that the Youth Must Work beneficiaries who are teaching in primary and secondary schools would be confirmed, while his administration would soon commence the process of paying pensioners in the state.
The governor therefore appealed to the people of the state for understanding as he means well for the state, but reiterated his earlier stance on the necessity to relocate the Eke Ukwu Owerri Market in the interest of the state.
