The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday, August 10, called on women across board, who are presently expressing the brunt of hunger, to mobilise against the All Progressive Congress, APC, come 2019.
The Chairman of the party in Delta State, Mr. Kingsley Esiso, who made this known when he played host to PDP Patriotic Ladies in Asaba, accused the APC-led Federal Government of bringing untold hardship to Nigerians.
Post-Nigeria, had earlier reported that rural women across the country are currently undergoing intense hardship, as the only commodity which they rely on for survival, has gone beyond their reach.
Esiso said, “For about two years now, Nigerians have witnessed negative change that has brought injuries, hardship and high cost of living to them.
”They came with the mantra of change, that former President Goodluck Jonathan was not doing well, but the reverse is now the case.“We will endure till 2019 to change the change?”
Speaking further, he used the medium to call on women to mobilise ahead of 2019, both for the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, of Delta State and the voting out of the APC at the Federal level, and other APC controlled States.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari, has called on Nigerians to exercise patience on the current hardship being experienced in the country.
While pledging to do his best to restore hope to the common man, he said his government is presently working round the clock to diversify the nation’s resources to agriculture and mining, promising that Nigerians will soon see the change he promised them.
