President Muhammadu Buhari has named Tosan Erhabor as the acting registrar/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the MLSCN. Erhabor was born in Ekiadolo, Benin Edo State on July 22 1964, Today reports. The new MLSCN boss attended School of Medical Technology, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Edo state Nigeria, majoring in Hematology, where he got an award as the best graduating student in Hematology and Blood Group Serology. Mr Erhabor commenced his working career as a lecturer, at School of Medical Laboratory Sciences, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin Edo state in 1992.
Later he moved his service to the then Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Technology Lagos in 1997 as a principal medical laboratory scientist. He raised through the ranks to become director and Head of Department External Quality Assurance and following the gruesome murder of late Mrs. O.F. Omotuyi, on June 15 became CEO of MLSCN. While presidency says that Buhari’s appointments are balanced many Nigerians, comprising notable supporters and apologists of the incumbent government, have clamorously criticised and mocked President Buhari over what they term his “lopsided appointments”.
