A revolution against the ruling all Progressives Congress , (APC) has doubtless begun in Nigeria as a result of the economic collapse and the resultant severe hardship.
Nigerians in Kogi State revolted against their governor who had gone to pray at the Lokoja Central Mosque to mark the state 25 anniversary, DailyGlobeWatch reliably gathered.
Governor Bello on leaving the mosque where he had gone to observe the Friday Ju'umat prayers drew the deadly wrath of the angry mob who swarmed on him and pelted him with all sort of missile including table water sachet and stones.
Our source said it took the combined team of the policemen and other sympathizers for the governor to escape being lynched by the mob who cited hunger and hardship for their dastardly act.
But in a swift reaction, the Special Adviser to the governor on media and strategy, Mr Abdulmalik Abdul denied any such incident, saying the governor successfully performed the Friday prayers and left the scene when some miscreants caused a stir.
He said the governor couldn’t have been attacked as he was passionately loved by the citizens of the state, adding that his political detractors who wanted to distract him from his good works orchestrated the lie.
However, reports said the governor had to be whisked away by his security details so as not to be physically assaulted by the irate mob who were chanting anti-government songs and using vulgar language against the governor.
