Breaking! Former PDP Chairman Dies After Decamping To APC (Photos)

One of the founding members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ex-chairman of the party in Rivers state Chief Godspower U Ake is dead. The former PDP chairman was said to have died of an undisclosed sickness in Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). It was gathered from a reliable source that Chief GU‎ Ake who is an indigene of Omoku in Ogba-Ogbema-Ndoni local government area had a running battle with a long-term terminal disease until his demise.

The political leader ‎in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni local government area by the name Prince Peter Odike confirmed the news. Chief Ake was the special adviser on Lands and Survey to former Governor Peter Odili. He later became the South-south zonal Chairman of the PDP after ‎the assassination of Chief Kaka Dikibo in 2004. influential politicians in Rivers state after Marshal Harry who was also assassinated by snipers in Abuja. He later became the chairman of the PDP in Rivers state before he was removed by a High Court in Abuja and replaced by Chief Felix Obuah.
