ABS have finally settled their financial disputes with the club’s players – The team owned by Nigeria’s Senate president has finally been paid Players and officials of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC are now in joyous mood as the club have paid all their entitlements owed them till date.
NAIJ.com Sports earlier had a chat with the club captain Bolaji Abdulkadri who disclosed that the team had been suffering in silence as they were owed salaries as well as wages.
With the latest development, Abdulkadri has however confirmed that all their salaries, bonuses and entitlements have been settled as he thanked the owner of the club Senator Bukola Saraki.
The club’s captain added that the gesture bestowed on them by the club’s management will serve as a tonic for their upcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) fixture game against Crown FC.
“We are delighted that this is coming at this time and it will surely go a long way to motivate us in the remaining games in the season. “The management has made statement that they are serious about our welfare and we will pay them back by gaining promotion.
“We (players), are going to put heads together to redouble our effort in ensuring we play in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) next season” Abdulkadir said. ABS FC lost their Premier League status last two seasons after finishing amongst the last four sides on the final standings.
