Every presidency has a few bumps, particularly in their first few weeks.
Well, ours has buffaloed along for near two years with magnitude but little direction.
All that seem to be changing with the President resting in London and his appointees doing the job.
The President directed the Presidency to apologize to the people of South-East for the marauding Fulani terrorists.
The FG had said the Fulanis unleashing terror on Nigerians are not Nigerians.
Pray, why have they refused to defend Nigerians from external aggression, an invading army armed with AK 47s?
We didn’t call them that. The United Nations did, describing it as the fourth most deadly terror organization.
All the FG did was apologize, instead of attack the foreign invaders.
THE Federal Government apologized to the people of South East over the destructive activities of herdsmen in the area.
The Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh, made the apology on behalf of the Federal Government in a town hall meeting in Umuahia.
“I sincerely apologize to those whose crops were destroyed by the herdsmen.
“I was a victim. They invaded my farm and destroyed crops. But please nobody is happy about their activities.
“We are working hard to stop them. They have no right to carry AK 47.
“The army or police cannot follow the herdsmen around.
“We are doing everything to find a lasting solution and maybe in a few months you will see the result”.
But we have a concern in this approach: some invaders attacked Nigerians, but all the FG can do is apologize.
We don’t get it. Foreign Fulanis attack Kaduna, Benue, Ekiti, Rivers and all FG can do is apologize?
Nigerians want’s action. It’s as though the Fulanis only destroyed crops. How about the lives they destroyed?
The President is doing a great job — of destroying the constitution he swore to uphold.
Send the military against this terror group whom you said are foreigners for heaven’s sake!
